WHY KIDSPLAY

Confidence that carries over

Friends & teamwork

A love of moving

Skills, coordination and self-belief that show up at school, at the park, everywhere.

Small groups where every child gets passed the ball — and learns to pass it back.

Ten-plus sports to try. The goal isn't stars — it's children who want to come back.

OUR STORY

Why we do this

“KidsPlay is the program I wish existed when I was a kid. High-energy fun with lots of skill development — I figure if I’m having fun, the kids are having fun.  Besides, my dad used to say: find a job you love and you never work a day in your life.”

Coach David

Founder · Director of Coaching & Program Development

Athlete, coach, and the biggest kid you'll ever meet. Born and raised in Burlington, David played rugby to the provincial and national level and semi-professionally in Scotland. As a dad of two kids in our programs, he sees the impact of sport from both a coach's and a parent's perspective.

Coach Lauren

Director of Coaching & Program Development

Lauren played NCAA softball and a professional season in the Netherlands. She brings 14 years of coaching experience and has been part of KidsPlay Sports since 2018.

There isn't a sport Jacob doesn't play, watch or enjoy. A Sport Management and Business honours grad from Niagara College, he creates fun, safe and interactive environments — inspired by John Wooden, Carl Sagan and the Mythbusters.
